Joker covers are universally adored and Batman collectors are investing multiples of guide to win them at auction. This classic issue from 1943, beautifully illustrated by the Joker's co-creator, the one and only Jerry Robinson, has the Clown Prince promising "A Crime a Day"! This issue of Detective #71 also contains a Boy Commandos Christmas story by Simon and Kirby, and an ad for Boy Commandos #1.
This FN copy really delivers the goods, the colors in the logo are blazing bright, and the subtler tones in the Joker's suit are as lovely as the day they were printed. Most of the tanning is relegated to the right side, and any other damage is mild, and away from the central image. This is a tight, affordable copy of a Bat-classic that presents better than its grade.
