Ka-Zar has a long and storied history that coincides with most of the eras of comic books, starting out in the Golden Age at Timely, the character would appear in Savage Tales, Astonishing Tales, a self-titled 70's series and finally, Ka-Zar the Savage in the mid-80s. This cover for issue #32 was rendered by Paul Neary, who worked at Warren Publishing before moving on to Marvel UK and also the popular British comic 2000 A.D., he eventually became editor-in-chief at Marvel UK in the 90s. This is an impressive piece of Bronze Age art, showing Ka-Zar about to pummel what appears to be his brother while Shanna, the She-Devil attempts to stop the fracas from occurring. Neary's design is typical of the flashy 80's comic style, supported by the veteran inks of Joe Rubinstein, fans of Lord Plunder would be pleasantly pleased to have this piece in their collection.
