Highest GradedIt is with issue #5 of Police Comics that Plastic Man begins his run as the featured star of the title, and the Gill Fox cover design lets you know that there is a new hero in town, one with remarkable powers to stretch and contort his body into any shape a situation could call for, just think of the possibilities! Plas aka "Eel" O'Brian would go on to a long-lasting career, which continues into the modern era, eventually becoming a DC property and starring in his own TV cartoon. But this is ground zero for the character, although he was featured in the previous issues of Police Comics, it is in this issue that he really came into his own and picked up a loyal fan base that would follow his exploits for years to come.
The Mile High copy of Police Comics #5 is impossibly beautiful, there is almost no visible imperfection to be found, the whites are perfect, the reds and blues are glowing, and the interior pages are a lovely white as well. This is another amazing Edgar Church book we are offering in this auction, and Plastic Man fans are surely waiting with bated breath to lay their hands on this fantastic comic.
