Comic book publishers had to figure out crafty ways to promote their products in the early days of the business, beyond drug stores, five-and-dimes and other obvious outlets where pulps were sold. Some industrious employee at Centuar thought outside the box and figured laundromats would be an ideal venue in which to place promotional copies of their comics, as they had a captive audience who would hopefully buy more of their four-color offerings to help pass the time between washing and drying cycles. This Golden Age rarity features the stunning cover art from Funny Picture Stories V2 #7 and sheds some light on an interesting aspect of the oft-overlooked marketing side of the comic book industry, as well as the American "can-do" spirit.

The bright hues on this cover are unaffected by the ages, the stirring and comical cover illustration retains its punch and clarity. When one considers the rarity of comic book promotional items from the Golden Age, this book becomes a real curio of its time, collectors of GA books will immediately recognize the scarcity and unique nature of this special book and should bid accordingly.
