File CopyRanked 41st in Comics Buyer's Guide's "100 Sexiest Women in Comics" list, Black Cat began her career in comics in Pocket Comics #1, published by Harvey. The voluptuous redhead went on to appear in many of the company's anthology titles until starring in her own book, Black Cat Comics, which went through many iterations over its sixty-two issue run, changing titles and themes regularly, from adventure to western to partial Hollywood gossip mag, eventually evolving into Black Cat Mystery, a horror anthology which phased out the titular heroine for several issues. This bound volume encompasses issues #21-41, which covers the book's transition into a powerhouse of the pre-code horror craze that swept the industry after WWII ended. The cover of issue #21 is detached, all other issues otherwise VF- to VF+.
