Highest GradedWhen considering Alex Schomburg's output in the Golden Age it staggers the mind to think about the amount of quality work he submitted, each cover he created demands attention and even contemplation. It is nearly impossible to absorb what's happening with a casual viewing. Take for example this cover on Young Allies #10, the eye is drawn to multiple areas at the same time, as there is a feast of information in every inch of the piece. Guillotines burning and collapsing, Toro blazing across the page, the melee in the foreground and the background as well, and the Young Allies in the center of the scene are all compelling, rendered with amazing skill, all the pieces fit together to make yet another classic and memorable Schomburg Golden Age treasure.
This comic is in incredible condition, preserved over the decades to remain as fresh and the day it rolled off a printing press. Hailing from the Chicago pedigree this is the finest copy known on the market. Blindingly bright colors, sharp corners, beautiful centering, and a solid spine combine to make for an impeccable copy that has lasted seventy-six years suspended in time.

Known for his dizzying, bustling war covers, bondage covers and airbrush Sci-Fi covers! Truly one of the most highly collected artists of the Golden Age. Alex Schomburg was born on May 10, 1905, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Schomburg freelanced primarily for Timely Comics, the 1940s forerunner of Marvel, displaying his talent for action tableaux in covers featuring Captain America, the Sub-Mariner, the Human Torch, and other superheroes. He also provided covers for Pines Publications, for titles including Exciting Comics and America's Best Comics, featuring such superheroes as the Black Terror and the Fighting Yank, as well as for Harvey Comics. Stan Lee said the following about Schomburg "I've always felt that Alex Schomburg was to comic books what Norman Rockwell was to The Saturday Evening Post. He was totally unique, with an amazing distinctive style. You could never mistake a Schomburg cover for any other artist's. ... I remember hearing Timely Comics publisher Martin Goodman tell me time and again how great a cover illustrator Alex was, and how he wished we had more like him. Despite the quantity of work we gave him, despite the care and effort that went into every Schomburg cover, I cannot remember Alex ever being late with any illustration."
Mike Sekowsky was an American comics artist known as the penciler for DC Comics' Justice League of America during most of the 1960s (including their initial appearance in Brave and the Bold #28), and as the regular writer and artist on Wonder Woman during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Sekowsky's long career began in the early 40s for Timely Comics drawing the adventures of Captain America, and Sub-Mariner among others in titles such as All Winners Comics, Daring Comics, Marvel Mystery Comics, and Young Allies Comics. He would transition to DC Comics in the 1950s where we would work on Romance and Science Fiction stories including drawing the first appearance of Adam Strange in Showcase #17. He would co-create the Justice League of America with Gardner Fox and continue as it's artist for over 60 issues. Sekowsky would go on to have memorable runs as artist and writer on Metal Men, Wonder Woman, and the Supergirl feature in Adventure Comics.
