classic melting head cover; Frazetta, Powell artThis is one of the greatest classic covers of the Pre-Code Horror age, and one which was probably in no small way responsible for the induction of the Comics Code. Lee Elias' amazing illustration of the radium melting this poor fellow's face and hands is the stuff of legend. Knowledgeable comic collectors and gore gobblers go mad for this book when it comes up for auction. Add in Frank Frazetta's uncredited contribution to the inks of this issue's "Here Today," and there's simply no denying the power of this classic pre-Code comic.
While this comic may have some wear about the edges, the central image is in very nice shape, the colors are strong and the classic illustration delivers its shock as powerfully as ever. There are only so many copies of this classic on the market, savvy investors are sure to be in the hunt for this issue at auction.
