Discovering their enemies' weakness, X heads back to help his team, who have, by now, been thwarted in an escape attempt. In the grand finale Bolviar Trask sacrifices himself in a lab explosion that brings down Master Mold and all of his minions, along with the Sentinel's lair. The X-Men return home, but their respite is destined to be brief. Jack Kirby, Jay Gavin, and Dick Ayers complete their impressive work on this final installation of an incredibly important storyline in X-Men lore.
