Bobby Blue CollectionPre-code horror books have always been a popular niche for collectors, and these scary stories of yesteryear usually fetch respectable prices on the market. Chamber of Chills #19 in particular though has a special story to tell, you see, the cover art of this issue was appropriated by the punk band The Misfits to be on the cover of their "Die, Die, My Darling" single, which was released in 1984, thereby rendering the spooky illustration part of pop culture lore, as the image has appeared on t-shirts, posters and other memorabilia for decades, keeping this classic Bob Powell piece in the public consciousness way beyond the comic's original expiration date.
A cult classic that never goes out of vogue, this copy of Chamber of Chills #19 hails from the new-to-market Bobby Blue Collection. This comic goes for impressive numbers regardless of grade, and this particular copy has an overall presentation that is quite pleasing, vivid flesh tones and sickly greens highlight the iconic imagery that dominates this cover.
