Dan DeCarlo Jr. pencils/Jim DeCarlo inks; cover; 1979; image size 13.25" x 14.5"Archie takes Veronica on a date to the 90s, the 1890s, in this great twice-up cover. Many Archie covers from this period were drawn and pasted down to a larger board with the title dressing and info, these were often removed and re-used for other covers leaving the drawing without any of the title or logos. Pen and ink. Art is in very good condition, there are some glue stains on the front and back of the piece.
Artist Information
Dan and James (Jim) De Carlo were Dan De Carlo's twin sons. Just like their father, they were prolific artists of comics with the various 'Archie' characters. Dan De Carlo Jr. was the penciler, while James De Carlo took on the inking of the comics drawn by both his brother and his father.
