Bobby Blue CollectionPre-code horror is usually defined by the EC brand, but Charlton created a truly legendary cover for the unlikely title of Lawbreakers Suspense Stories. Lou Morales' drooling madman offers up a bouquet of tongue to a lingerie-clad lady in the kind of shocking image that could only exist a year before the coming of the Comics Code Authority.
The book's contents also include seven thrilling tales of the macabre that are also hard-boiled in the true-crime fashion. This startling classic is always a prime target for pre-Code horror fans keeping an eye (or tongue) out for this copy at auction.
Presenting a bright color palette and solid construction, this Bobby Blue Collection copy is in spiffy condition, and the creepy goings-on in the center of the cover are free of any distracting signs of wear.
