Sid Marantz CollectionBeautiful preliminary painting for the cover to the 1969 reprint of the Classics Illustrated adaptation of Herman Melville's Moby Dick, several prelims of different ideas of what the cover would be were created, this is one of the rejected ideas. Mixed media. Art is in excellent condition, the drawing has been affixed to a larger 9.5" x 13" board.
