Todd McFarlane pencils; illustration; 1984; image size 12" x 9.5"From 1984, a year before McFarlane did his first professional work, he self-published a limited edition collection of many of his drawings, including this great one featuring Wolverine taking a swipe at Kitty Pryde, depicted in her Sprite costume. Even here you can see signs of what he would become. The drawing was also published in 2013's The Art of McFarlane: The Devil's in the Details. Pencil on paper, mounted to a larger board. Art is in excellent condition. Signed and dated by McFarlane.
Artist Information
Todd McFarlane is a Canadian comic book artist, writer, and entrepreneur who is one of the founding members of Image comics where he created Spawn. In addition to being credited for co-creating Eddie Brock (Venom), Todd also founded Mcfarlane toys and an Entertainment company of the same name. Todd's other notable works include Marvel's The Amazing Spider-Man and Batman: Year Two.
