A 15% BUYER'S PREMIUM WILL BE ADDED TO THIS ITEM AT CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION Herb Arnold colors; complete 28 page color guides to Richard Corben's 'The Fall of the House of Usher'; 1984; 11" x 14" ea.For Corben's issue length adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's gothic classic 'The Fall of the House of Usher' he enlisted long time collaborator Herb Arnold to handle the task of transforming the story to color, Arnold chose an unusual palette of bright colors, contrasting with the underlying darkness of the material. A wonderful example of classic comic coloring, and an interesting insight into Corben's creative process. Colored inks over photocopies of the original artwork, with color notes for the printer. Art is in very good condition, each page consists of two photocopied pages taped together, there is light handling wear to the pages.
