Keeping with the idea of Nazi scourge Baron Zemo continuing to vex Captain America, this story sees the patriotic supersoldier chasing the WWII villain into the jungle, while Thor archnemeses the Enchantress and the Executioner plague the Avengers by trying to hypnotize the blond hammer-god into joining the forces of evil. It all seems overwrought and nutty, but by this point, Kirby et al were firing on all cylinders, and the loopy tale gave the King a chance to flex his muscles both on cosmic costume design and atmospheric jungle settings. Nobody else could have made that combination work, which is what made him one of the greats.
