DESCRIPTION
1968 printingFawcett's notorious Gold Medal imprint became more ambitious in the '60s, with the company quick to call on Frank Frazetta to provide the cover art for Lance Horner's lustful tale of the Roman Empire. This unsigned cover still stood out on the paperback stands, and is seen here in great condition with no yellowing. (Like many paperback editions, this title is rare in high grades.)

He is often referred to as the "Godfather" of Fantasy Art, and one of the most renowned illustrators of the 20th century. He was also the subject of a 2003 documentary "Painting with Fire".
