McFarlane's 1st Spider-Man issue!Historic page alert! From McFarlane's debut issue of Amazing Spider-Man comes this wonderful page, featuring Spidey, in his black costume that McFarlane would only draw in issues 298 and 299, staking out some nefarious gin runners only to find that the assassin Chance has gotten to them first. Spidey, perched in his classic 'hanging upside down on webbing' pose keeps watching as a submarine appears, and then everything goes dark. Great Spider-Man images, with McFarlane already changing the way the webbing is drawn. Pages form issue 298 almost never come up for sale, this is an incredibly rare opportunity to add a true piece of comics history that would be a highlight in any collection. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by McFarlane and McLeod.

Todd McFarlane is a Canadian comic book artist, writer, and entrepreneur who is one of the founding members of Image comics where he created Spawn. In addition to being credited for co-creating Eddie Brock (Venom), Todd also founded Mcfarlane toys and an Entertainment company of the same name. Todd's other notable works include Marvel's The Amazing Spider-Man and Batman: Year Two.
Bob McLeod is an American comic book artist best known for co-creating the New Mutants with writer Chris Claremont. McLeod drew the graphic novel and the first three issues of the New Mutants and inked a number of subsequent issues. He penciled some issues of Star Wars and Spider-Man as well. In 1987, he inked Mike Zeck’s pencils on the Kraven’s Last Hunt storyline in the Spider-Man titles.
