This scarce book has been coveted for a wild cover that seems to foreshadow the Underground Comix movement of the 1960s with its cartoonish Bozo the Robot design. Smash Comics has also become a holy grail to collectors for a stellar line-up of moonlighting Golden Age greats using pen names to cover up their contributions. Will Eisner is credited as "Will Erwin," George Brenner is "Wayne Reid," George Tuska is "Bud Thomas," and the list goes on. Gill Fox, Paul Gustavson, and Vern Henkel help to round out the roster of stars who helped create this memorable anthology mashup book from the pre-war era.
