Forever People #2-11 — Jack Kirby's historic move to DC in 1970 began with the unlikely step of him taking over Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen. (Kirby had requested the company's lowest-selling title to avoid putting anyone out of a job.) As a result, the languishing Boy Reporter's book would launch several of DC's Fourth World legends, including Darkseid. The intergalactic villain then became an established presence in Kirby's own title of Forever People, which would later bring in Deadman as part of the book's ambitious scope.
