New Gods #1-17, #19 (2 copies of #12) — This lot features Jack Kirby's grandest attempt at creating a new mythos for DC Comics after moving to the company in the '70s. Kirby's vision of the Fourth World really came together with New Gods #1, with the series establishing Darkseid as the overlord of Apokolips. The initial series ended in 1972, but DC revived the run with 1977's issue #12 (now billed as "Return of the New Gods") as Gerry Conway took over the title.
