Eric Shanower lightbox inks over Kirby pencils; Prince Tuftan from Kamandi; 1994; image size 9" x 12"

Great piece by Shanower, from the Black Magic edition of Kirby's famous Heroes and Villains sketchbook that contained pencil illustrations of nearly every character he ever created and gifted to his wife upon it's completion. The Black Magic edition was published in 1994 and showcased Kirby's drawing inked by a who's who of comics finest creators. This piece, inked over a lightboxed image of the original pencils, features Prince Tuftan from Kamandi, beautifully and respectfully realized by Shanower. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Shanower who also replicated Kirby's signature.
