DESCRIPTION
Sam Kweskin layouts/Jim Mooney finishes; page 17; 1973; image size 10" x 15"

Great page from the story 'The Invasion of New York!', co-plotted by Bill Everett in what would be his penultimate issue on the character he created in 1939, featuring Subby trying to reason with the villainous Lorvex who seems intent on destroying New York City. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.

Artist Information

James Noel Mooney was an American comics artist best known for his long tenure at DC Comics and as the signature artist of Supergirl, as well as a Marvel Comics inker and Spider-Man artist, both during what comics historians and fans call the Silver Age of comic books. He sometimes inked under the pseudonym Jay Noel.
