Win Mortimer pencils and inks; cover recreation; undated; image size 13" x 19"Mortimer faithfully recreates his own cover from 1951, featuring Batman about to be unmasked by a group of nefarious pirates. Mortimer did not do many full cover recreations, making this a rare and unique opportunity. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition, one of the DC logo paste-ups form the top of the page is missing. Signed by Mortimer.

Win Mortimer is a Canadian comic strip/ book artist who worked for the big publishing houses during both the golden and silver age era of comics. Win mostly worked with DC but later freelanced for Marvel comics, where his most notable works include Action comics and Spidey Super Stories.
