Dave Gibbons pencils and inks; Ro-Busters page 3; 1978; image size 13.5" x 17"Great page from the Ro-Busters story 'Hammerstein's War Memoirs, Part 4: Just Routine', featuring Hammer-stein recounting his time in the first robot wars. Beautiful, action packed page from one of 2000 AD's early features, written by Pat Mills and illustrated by Gibbons, showing the world why he's one of the best artists of his generation. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
Artist Information
Dave Gibbons is a self taught English Comic book artist, who began in the industry doing pencils for British underground comics. Gibbons later grew to fame illustrating pages for DC's Green Lantern and Doctor Who weekly published by Marvel. Dave Gibbons most notable projects was the highly admired Watchmen (1986) written by Alan Moore.
