Geppetto Production Cel with Master Production Background; 1940; image size 12" x 23.5"Absolutely wonderful hand painted production cel from Disney's second feature, Pinocchio from 1940. The cel features Pinocchio's pap Geppetto framed against the light coming from an open door aboard the wrecked ship in the belly of the whale Monstro. The original hand painted production background is a thing of beauty all on its own; you can see the care and craftsmanship that went into every detail. The Geppetto figure has been trimmed and reapplied to a new acetate, likely to prevent age wear and damage, matted to 15.5" x 27".
