Set of 2 oversized signed prints of Mad covers; image size 16.25" x 24" ea. Mad #1 signed and numbered 190/500 by Harvey Kurtzman and #2 signed and numbered 189/500 by Jack Davis.This set of two prints presents the first two iconic covers of Mad, one of the most important comic series of the 1950s. Harvey Kurtzman's cover to Mad #1 introduces the recurring character of Melvin (though he is not shown), and Jack Davis' cover for #2 showcases the irreverent sense of humor and grotesque visuals which would go on to make the series famous. These prints were created in 1985 by Stabur Graphics, and both are in excellent condition.
