Neal Adams pencils; cover prelim; 2016; image size 9" x 9"Great prelim by Adams, for his variant cover paying homage to both the original cover to Detective Comics #31 as well as his own previous homage on Batman #227, this time swapping Batman with the Joker looming over the image. Detective #31 is considered one of the best, if not the best, Batman covers of all time, and having an artist like Adams pay tribute to it for a second time only adds to it's enduring mythos. Pencil on tracing paper, taped to a larger board. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Adams.
Also included is a print of the covers final pencils, singed and inscribed by Adams.
