X-Men #94 would be the first regular issue of Marvel’s long-running series to feature the new team of Storm, Banshee, Wolverine, Thunderbird, Colossus, and Nightcrawler alongside founding member Cyclops. Although these characters were introduced in Giant-Size X-Men #1, this is the first proper issue of X-Men to feature the newcomers — who would soon turn a struggling Marvel title into one of the company's best-selling titles.

This striking debut would then become the first highly collectible issue of X-Men in several years. (In an interesting twist, future Marvel superstar Wolverine didn’t even rate getting featured on the cover.) These characters remain the future icons most closely associated with the X-Men franchise. Marvel Studios has already announced plans for new X-Men films as more mutants return for 2026's Avengers: Doomsday, helping to ensure this issue's status as a top collectible.

This 9.6 issues of X-Men #94 is outstanding even for its high grade, with a strong spine that looks better than many of these books did on the spinner racks of 1975. The classic cover also looks to have been one of the firsts off the press. You'll find beautiful shadings from the X-Men's new outfits to Count Nefaria's overwhelming presence. Check out the sharp corners, and it's no surprise that the interior pages have remained sparkling white. This is one Bronze Age book that's able to offer a lot to any fan after 50 years!
