Wood's first published American work!Opening page to the story 'The undertaker: Chapter One: Dead Remembrance' from Dark Horse's anthology of stories by Australian creators. This book marked Ashley's first ever work published in America, he would go on to have a long career, mostly on his own projects, but it all started here. Even in this very early work you can see Ash being influenced by the experimental artists of the time, something he would embrace and make fully his own over the ensuing years. Pen and ink. Art is in very good condition, the drawing is on thin paper, which shows light signs of handling wear.
