Jesús Merino pencils and inks inks; complete 10 page story; 2021; image size 10.25" x 15.75" ea.Fantastic complete story by Merino, originally published as a DC digital original before being expanded and collected as individual issues, this story was the first chapter of the series. Ten beautiful pages, featuring framing sequences of Commissioner Gordon and Harvey Bullock interrogating the Joker, with flashbacks to a gathering of Batman's rogues gallery, including Mad Hatter, Black Mask, Killer Croc, Professor Pyg, Two-Face, Killer Moth, Poison Ivy, Man-Bat, Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke, Penguin, Scarecrow, Bane, and Catwoman, all gathered to pay tribute to the Clown Prince of Crime. Of course this love-fest is rudely interrupted by Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl, who engage in some spectacular action. The story concludes with Gordon and Bullock asking Joker about the whereabouts of the Riddler, who they believe to be dead, setting up the mystery for the rest of the series. All of this is fabulously illustrated by Merino, a great showcase of his talents. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Merino at the top of each page.
