Swedish Edition (1986); Robert Crumb, Giancarlo Ascari & Jooste Swarte art; Milo Manara cover / artEpix was a significant Swedish magazine for adult comics, published between 1984 and 1992 by RSR Epix AB under the direction of publisher and editor-in-chief Horst Schröder. Distinguished as the longest-running adult comics publication among those launched during Sweden's 1980s comics boom, Epix established itself as a cornerstone of the country's mature comics scene. Throughout its run, the magazine expanded to include several specialized sister publications catering to different reader interests. The content primarily featured acclaimed creators from French comics publications such as À Suivre, Pilote and Circus, though its editorial scope was remarkably diverse. Readers could find various forms of humor, erotica/pornography, relationship narratives, serialized epics, and traditional genre adventures within its pages. The magazine ceased operations in 1993 when its distributor Predab went bankrupt, effectively ending the publisher's ability to distribute its publications.
