Charles Schulz art; specialty drawing; c. early 1970s; image size 17" x 24"This fantastic, large drawing depicting Snoopy giving Peppermint Patty a big kiss as Woodstock watches, was likely produced during one of the many live drawing demonstration by the legendary Peanuts creator in the 1960s and 70s. The size of this drawing makes for a striking piece, an exceptional example of the expressiveness and charm that the Peanuts strip was known for during its nearly 50 year run. Schultz's characters, popular worldwide, have proven to have a lasting legacy beyond the strip's original existence that shows no sign of slowing. Crayon on paper. Art is in excellent condition. Boldly signed by Schulz below the image.

Schulz is the creator of the hugely influential and award winning comic strip Peanuts, that gave to the world Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Woodstock, Sally and countless other timeless characters. Peanuts ran for nearly 50 years and spawned dozens of animated specials and feature films. Schulz retired from the strip in 2000 and passed away on the eve of the final strips publication.
