Born into a Greek family living in Egypt, Gogos became interested in art from a young age. After immigrating to America at age 16, Gogos began to work as a professional illustrator, most notably providing art for Warren magazines including Creepy, Eerie, and Famous Monsters of Filmland, for which he was best known. Throughout his career, he worked in many fields such as illustration, fine art, and advertising. Gogos died in NYC in 2017 at the age of 88.
