Joe Phillips pencils/Bruce Patterson inks; cover; 1989; image size 10" x 15"Introducing... Maxi-Man! Great cover fromt he 1980s Mister Miracle series, featuring the introduction of Maxi-Man. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Signed by Phillips on the acetate overlay.
The original title paste-up is on an acetate overlay. Maxi-Man's legs are a photostat for repositioning, the original drawing is underneath the stat.

Bruce Patterson is an American comic book artist who began working for DC comics as an inker and letterer for Marvel in the late 70s. Over the next two decades, he continued his work with the two major publishing houses as an inker/letterer and sometimes penciler, occasionally doing cover art. Bruce's most notable works include Action Comics and the Invincible Iron Man.
Joe Phillips is an American artist, one of the founding members of Gai-Jin Studios, whose comic book work includes providing art for Speed Racer (NOW Comics), Mister Miracle, Wonder Woman, Justice League of America, Superboy, Green Lantern and Legion of Super-Heroes for DC, Silver Surfer, X-Men, Captain America, Wolverine and The Incredible Hulk at Marvel.
