Bill Vigoda pencils/unknown artist inks; nearly complete 6-page Jughead story 'Sound Off' (pages 1-5) plus nearly complete 3-page Jughead story 'Watch the Birdie' (pages 2-3); 1958; image size 12" x 18" ea.Jughead's feature series hits 50 issues and veteran Archie artist Vigoda turns in two stories for the occasion. First, in 'Sound Off,' Jughead terrorizes the school causing mayhem with his sound effects. Then, in 'Watch the Birdie,' he lands himself in a bit of trouble when he takes to birdwatching. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition. Some pages feature additional pencil drawings by Vigoda on the reverse.
