Amazing Spider-Man #27 has the identity of the Green Goblin still a secret, but Daily Bugle reporter Frederic Foswell reveals the identity of the Crime-Master in this classic Spidey tale of the criminal underworld. (The criminal mastermind is Nick “Lucky” Lewis, who dies while trying to reveal the identity of the Goblin after the cops shoot him.) This issue is also notable for finally revealing why Peter Parker never quits working for J. Jonah Jameson — who, unlike the publisher at the Daily Globe, never asks too many questions about how Parker gets those fabulous Spider-Man pics.
