----------------------------------------------------------------------- The guys at ComiConnect.com thought you might like to know how I came into possession of the bound volumes, well here is the story- I work in the construction business and 15 years ago I was working in an old building in Manhattan doing a demolition job. I was working in the basement and 1st floor of the building and came across a pile of boxes that were waiting to be thrown away. I started looking through them and there under some old newspapers I made this find. I had thought I hit the jackpot, but 15 years ago the market on Bound Volumes wasn't as strong as it is today. In fact I was offered $50.00 for all of 24 volumes by a local collector. I thought to myself, for $50 bucks I am better off keeping them on my bookshelf and coffee table to share with family and friends. After discussing the books with a local collector I was told about ComicConnect.com and this Auction. I thought to myself, the time is right to sell. I will be sorry to see them go but good luck to whomever wins them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
