The enticingly haunting blonde soon became the stuff of legend to horror fans and Golden Age collectors, plus plenty of punk rockers after the Misfits swiped the art for a self-released single in 1984. The striking image (still featured on Misfits merchandise) continues to make this issue an enduring collectible for pre-Code horror fans — 70 years after the Senate Subcommittee on Juvenile Delinquency hearings that killed the title as Harvey Comics concentrated on the kiddie market!
