42 issues of this beloved classic comic strip, including the super-scarce #1!Over 100 years ago, in 1907, Bud Fisher created Mutt & Jeff. Mutt is a tall, dimwitted horse-race gambler and Jeff, a rather short inmate of an insane asylum who also loves horse racing. The strip followed their many antics and get-rich-quick schemes. It was in publication until 1983. The characters were so popular they made Fisher the first celebrity of comic strips and the term "Mutt & Jeff" made its way into the general American lexicon and is used even today in a joking manner.
