Curt Swan pencils, Neal Adams inks; 11" x 17" Neal Adams revered the generations of Silver and Golden Age giants who preceded his, and would often jump at the chance to apply his mod ink stylings to classic pencils by the likes of Curt Swan. This great bondage cover is one such example, with emotive faces and rich lines from then up and coming Adams, coupled with the solid storytelling of veteran Swan. As is typical of the period, the image is grandiose and operatic, with our heroes caught in yet another over-the-top scenario meant to lure readers in the increasingly competitive comic marketplace. Note the weight and heft of the characters, typical of Swan, meshing nicely with Adams's keen spotting of blacks and assertive musculature. As most art from the period and earlier was regularly destroyed by DC, this surviving example is especially valuable.
Art is in excellent condition.
