John Romita pencils and inks on velum; 11.75" x 12.25"

During the 1970s Marvel was putting out fantastic calendars. Here is the original cover art penciled and inked by Joltin' John Romita. Romita, the consummate Spider-Man artist knocked this one out of the ball park. The editors loved this image so much it was not only used for the cover of the 1978 but for various t-shirts and ads. The market on Romita art has exploded over the last ten years and it continues to appreciate. When collectors think of Spider-Man they think of Romita's drawings, which defined a generation for fans around the world.



Art is in excellent condition. The calendar shown on second image is not included in this lot.
