Greg Theakston pencils and inks; 1973; image size 10" x 15"Famed Jack Kirby inker Greg Theakston penciled and inked this very cool cover for a fanzine called Escape almost 50 years ago back in 1973. Our hero is rigidly bound in a straight jacket-like device. He has been thrust into the ocean with only a limited amount of air and not much time to... escape! Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition.
Artist Information
Greg Allen Theakston was an American comics artist and illustrator who worked for numerous publishers. He is known for his independent publications as a comics historian under his Pure Imagination imprint, as well as for developing the Theakstonizing process used in comics restoration. He used the pseudonym Earl P. Wooten.
