Kirkman's creation has become the hottest comic property of the last 10 years. It spawned the mega popular TV series on AMC and the comic continues to sell strongly. Here we present art drawn by a younger Kirkman during his teen years with high school girlfriend Margaret Cloyd. From the Collection of Margaret Cloyd.Heralded as a great writer, Kirkman's pencils don't disappoint either. His detailed pencils bring this fun scene of aliens and humans hanging at the pool together to life. The arm of the bodybuilder looks like something out of Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon. The figures of the piece are all interesting in their own way. Notice the pregnant alien looking disapprovingly at her hubby with martini in hand. A really cool piece.
