Well, okay, then. Wally Wood, whose clean style and firm handiwork graced EC's sci-fi titles and filled in beautifully on the Spirit in the post-Eisner era, found himself picking up lucrative cheesecake work in the heady days of the sexual revolution, when newsstands were lousy with T&A comics and men's-only magazines. Startling to fans of his 1950s work, and mind-boggling for fans coming of age in our PC culture, these racy pieces were nevertheless wildly popular back in the day, and are worshipped by savvy collectors of erotica as one of the best-drawn and solidly written of all the raunch strips that proliferated in the post-Playboy landscape. Wood's facility with soft shapes and strong sense of anatomy served him well crafting these naughty little charmers, and his deft hand is clearly evident in these eye-catching pieces. Not only a great find for art aficianados, but a wonderful addition to any collection of 20th Century sleaze and titillation!
