VD giveaway; Harvey Kurtzman's first work at EC; very rareHarvey Kurtzmann's work is so synonymous with EC comics that it's easy to forget he had to make a start with them somewhere. Oddly enough, it was in the pages of this true rarity, a 1949 health awareness giveaway that hid its stern warnings against, um, social disease (we're trying to be polite about this here) in the guise of a truly whacked-out western/romance/horror show that must be seen to be believed. Featuring Kurtzmann's typically over-the-top style, this is quite possibly the single rarest EC comic known to exist.
