Highest GradedLiberty Scouts #2 has the same cover art, except for the logo, as Centaur's one-off Liberty Guards, which was, in essence, the first issue in this series, but the interiors of the two books have completely different content. Wartime covers that involve invasions of the United States by Axis forces are a rare breed, the motif was only used a handful of times, perhaps artists or editors were concerned that the images would prove too disturbing for the comic book buying public. But, in retrospect, this sub-genre of war covers are some of the most interesting of the era, acting as a warning that America cannot sit by the sidelines forever, lest the horrors occurring overseas end up in our own backyard.
