1st app. GlennThis original illustration by Tony Moore comprises a crucial scene from The Walking Dead issue #2. It shows Rick, once a small-town sheriff, struggling to come to terms with a world suddenly overrun with walkers. The top panel captures the expression of anguish in Rick's face as he hacks through the neck of a walker who appears to be about the same age as his own son. This is followed by panels showing Rick's first meeting with Glenn, former pizza delivery guy who now loots abandoned stores for survival. There's a moment of confusion between the two as Glenn surprises Rick from behind, followed by a classic portrayal of urban dystopia with the garbage, graffiti, and fire escapes of a back alley in Atlanta, seen beyond the ominous silhouette of Rick's axe. Tony Moore's artwork for Walking Dead comics has been valued in the tens of thousands, and this is a worthy representation of his work, and a top-quality collector's piece.
