A cancer researcher living in the USA wanted to give something back to his old high school in the north east of England, where many of the kids come from blue collar families and often lack the finances or the encouragement to move into higher education. So, in collaboration with Newcastle University, he donated money and set up a charitable bursary. Children from that high school and then from the rest of north east England are eligible. Right now, the award has enough money in it to pay out 500 pounds per year to one student (approximately 13,000 pounds). The purpose of selling this "V for Vendetta" page is to raise more money to put into the bursary so that each student will be given 500 pounds when they first enter Newcastle University and when they start their second year as well. This is a charity auction of a fantastic and classic piece of modern comics history -- bid big knowing that your winning bid will go to help students in need!
