Pg. 26; Sal Buscema pencils, Mike Esposito inks; image size 10" x 15.5"Spider-man and the X-Men happen to be on the same flight, unknowingly, whilst returning from a conference regarding the transformation of mankind. Downed by a team of super villains that were formerly top-secret government scientist, mutated by a nuclear accident, who now personify gods of Hindu mythology.
Amazing first panel featuring so many fantastic Marvel characters! Starting clockwise there's: Nightcrawler, Spider-Man, Jean Grey, aka Marvel Girl, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Piotr Rasputin, aka Colossus. This epic page of art is right at the start of the story, just before the nefarious villains are revealed. Further panels show Storm attacked by a power similar of her cohort, Banshee as he is blasted with a mysterious mind disrupter.
