DESCRIPTION
Pg. 14; A. Albert pencils and inks; image size 12.25" x 18"

Not much is known about the artist, A. Albert, that is credited with creating this page from Planet Comics #73, a search of his name online shows he contributed to Wings Comics and Space Mysteries and that he worked for publishers Fiction House and I.W. Regardless, this page is a masterfully rendered space opera, the likes of which Planet Comics was known for. Taken from the tale "The Wonder-Warp", these panels are certainly above par for Golden Age art in general, the backgrounds and interiors are very detailed, and the well-executed characters reveal an astute artist who has fine control of his skills. Although Mr. Albert may never receive his deserved respect for his contributions to the comic book industry, it is safe to say, a fan of Golden Age sci-fi art will soon be a happy camper when they add this piece to their collection.
